RURAL EDUCATION

Postby sweetylity » Fri Mar 06, 2009 4:38 pm

Why should the rural folks in Africa suffer from abject poverty to the extent of education.Education is the key to success and greater heights in life but these people have wronged the incumbent government of the day to the extent that they are denied portable water, housing, employment and even subsidies to help in their rural businesses and peasant farming. What about education?the various politicians promise good education, free education to the young ones but at the end of the the school structures are dilapidated, most children stop studies whenever the sky turns windy and on top of these all some even study under trees which are death trapped. These children are not aliens but blacks like us and i cannot say less fortunate because we are fortunate but i think God placed u and i in this position to be able to have access to the internet, electricity and even laptops to help others.Africa lacks behind due to illiteracy.Folks, lets bring others on board by helping a needy child in your area with the education.Look into the eyes of an innocent poor child and give him a helping hand.Join an NGO in africa and save a child and not only that but the continent as well cos they are the future of this continent.THANK YOU.

Hello Sweetylity,

Wow, that's huge- you obviously have some insights into what's going on.

In more practical terms, what do you think students and all of us here can do?

This is a great topic you have started!

Would love to hear more from you :)
